iCelebrity is an iPhone application that lets you interface with a custom database of celebrity sightings. Each celebrity sighting in the database contains a photo, the celebrity name, the time & date of the sighting, the address where the photo was taken, the iCelebrity username of the user submitting the photo, and a comment about the sighting.

For the price of one issue of a celebrity magazine you get an advertisement free, constantly updating, exclusive collection of celebrity sighting photos with advanced search and mapping capabilities that is designed to take advantage of the advanced capabilities and rich user interfaces of the iPhone and iTouch.

1. Automatically display the most recent celebrity sightings in our database or automatically display the most recent sightings of your favorite celebrity.
2. Search for the latest sightings (with photos) of any celebrity by name.
3. View the location of any celebrity sighting on a map.
4. Search for the latest celebrity sightings around any address in the world.
5. Search for any celebrity sightings made by a particular iCelebrity user.
6. Search for any celebrity sightings at a particular event or restaurant by the event or restaurant name.
7. Automatically map any celebrity sightings around your current location and easily display the photos of those sightings.
8. Map any celebrity sightings at any address in the world.

In addition, iCelebrity users can submit their own celebrity sightings from their iPhones. All you do is click a button to take the picture, fill in the celebrity name, and comment, and then click "Send Report".

Each week the iCelebrity staff will award a valuable prize to the user that submits the best celebrity sighting.

Celebrity sightings you submit are immediately available to other users.

Fake reports are quickly eliminated by a flagging system that allows you to mark reports as potential fakes. Potentially fake reports are automatically removed from the database until they can be verified by the iCelebrity staff and either permanently added to the database or eliminated for good. Users who submit inappropriate reports can be prevented from submitting additional reports.

We would urge your patience while the number of iCelebrity users increases as this increase will be followed by an increase in the number of celebrity sightings submitted. Our business plan includes the release of a second iCelebrity version in two weeks that will include the all the reporting functions of this version but will have extremely limited searching and mapping functions. The release of the second version in conjunction with the daily increase in the number of users of the full version should dramatically increase the number of user-submitted celebrity sightings.

In the meantime, we have contracted with a paparazzi agency to supply the database with daily celebrity sightings.
